Finally, “This Too Shall Pass”
Update 8/16/2024: This Too Shall Pass is now available everywhere! See below for links to stream.
Physical CD copies of This Too Shall Pass will be available in limited quantities, but I’m currently having troubles with the Merch Store’s shipping calculator. For the time being, you can email shop@atteroterra.com with your postal code and I’ll manually calculate postage and get back to you personally.
I’m also working on vinyl copies, because let’s be real: they’re cool as shit. However, This Too Shall Pass is just too long to fit on a single vinyl, so I have to make a hard decision on what to cut, as a double is just too cost-prohibitive.
If physical copies aren’t your thing, that’s totally fine. The BandCamp link above has you covered.
In case you missed the giant header on the front page: “This Too Shall Pass,” AtteroTerra’s third album, will be released August 16th, 2024!
Saying that I’m excited is both repetitive and an understatement at this point. AtteroTerra has never sounded better. That’s not some promotional rhetoric. I truly feel these are some of the best songs I’ve ever written, and thanks in no small part to Andrew Cap over at Funky Jelly Studios, these songs simply sound amazing.
I’ll stop, because I don’t want to over-sell it, but I can’t wait for you to hear this album.
It’s been eight calendar years since “Pray for Apocalypse.” That’s no way to handle music releases and keep people interested. I never intended it to happen this way. I wanted to release that album’s follow-up within a year. Then life slipped away from me and that year turned into two years, then three, and it just didn’t stop. I quit what I thought was going to be a career in security tech for a construction apprenticeship. I played my first shows in another country with one of my other bands. We’ve had a son and seen him through kindergarten. We’ve seen our daughter through middle and high school and watched her graduate. I quit both of my other bands. I almost quit this. I almost quit myself. Every time I realized how long it had been the worse I felt about AtteroTerra and myself. This barely scratches the surface of what life has been like these last few years.
I’m glad to still be here, and I’m glad to have finally be here, releasing this album. I hope it won’t be so goddamn long until the next one. In fact, I’d like to do the next one within a year. Two’s probably more realistic. I’m not going to hold it against myself anymore if Life doesn’t let that happen, though.
I’m just proud this is finally happening.
