I’m pure shit at work-life balance. “This Too Shall Pass” probably could’ve released months ago, but my attention has been too divided. I’ve been more focused on moving towards a new position at work and taking care of the well-being of my family, including myself.

Finally talked to my doctor about my mental health. It’s been years coming, and I’ll otherwise keep it private, but I did it.

I’ve also been trying to do a little learning on how the modern music world ticks, and best-practice release strategies. It’s been a really demoralizing thing in the past to know I’m basically just casting my music into the void to die in obscurity. While I don’t make music for money, I do make music to be heard, and knowing I’m basically not being heard for the entirety of AtteroTerra’s history has been hard.

That said, I’m trying to shift my perspective to be more appreciative of the small handful of people that are listening. I think that’s important, and I’m continuously working on it.

There are at least two videos in the works right now, and I should be able to confidently give a release date for the first single from the album within the next couple weeks.
