I’ve been angry this year.

I know that’s probably not saying a lot, considering most of my music definitely leans towards rage, but it’s been sort of a constant, seething thing, every time I turn around, it seems.

Political feelings are something I’ve tried to keep out of AtteroTerra just as a way to keep my music a form of escapism for me, but over the past few months it’s bled in anyway. First it was just, “wow, shit’s fucked up,” and then before I could even finish mixing that song as a single our government endeavored to give me yet another, entirely separate, reason to need blood pressure medication.

Two singles. Sweet.

Nope. Another unseasoned taste of marginalized American citizens being spoon-fed betrayal, and another song in the can. If I had 3, may as well keep going and put together an EP. Get this shit out of my system as much as screaming at a microphone can.

This won’t be the norm for AtteroTerra. It can’t be. It’s exhausting, creatively and emotionally. I do think the songs are fuckin’ violently nasty, though, and I think you might feel the same.

… and hey, another release just over a year after This Too Shall Pass feels pretty good.
