Some Re-Tracking & Vocal Delays

Goddamn, it feels like I’ve been sick forever.

My son entered Pre-K after having grown up thus far primarily within the isolation of pandemic lock-down, and the socially distant environment since. Combine that with the fact that my immune system hasn’t really had to work very hard in the last couple years, and my house is a petri dish of vile common pathogens that just won’t leave.

Every time I feel like I’m getting better I get my face kicked in all over again. None of them are life-threatening situations, but every last one of them is enough to fuck my voice up and saddle me with this constant, looming fatigue.

Add to that my holiday season starts in September thanks to birthdays, anniversaries, et cetera, and progress has been very slow. Honestly, I don’t see it getting much better until after start of the new year, and that’s if my antibodies can get their shit together.

I did notice some things while editing guitars and bass that I thought I could do better, so I’ve used this delay time to do those things better. So, that’s something, at least.

I’m pure shit at work-life balance. “This Too Shall Pass” probably could’ve released months ago, but my attention has been too divided.
